Make a Choice

Two men look out through the same bars; one sees the mud and one the stars.

The greatest part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions and not on our circumstances.

Ultimately… it’s not the stories that determine our choices but the stories that we continue to choose.

I keep the telephone in my mind open to peace, harmony, health, love and abundance.

Then, whenever doubts, anxiety or fear try to call me, they keep getting a busy signal – and soon they’ll forget my number.

Remember happiness doesn’t depend upon who you are or what you have; it solely depends on what you make of it.”
– Frederick Langbridge

Take a moment to ponder and reflect…

Choose to see the beauty in everything and everyone. Then happiness will be chasing after you.

Sincerely,

  1. Dear Mr Bismark,

First of all, I would like to thank you for the Gems of Wisdom every week. It gives us a spiritual awakening to ponder things that we take for granted at times.

Anyway, I personally find this week’s ‘GoW’, ‘Make A Choice’, very appealing. I cannot help but remember and share the story of two salesmen who were given the task to sell shoes in one town.

The first salesman refused and chose not to sell shoes in that place as nobody wears shoes. But the other salesman took the situation as an advantage, after all no one owns shoes in the town yet. Hence, he foresees great opportunity in making lots of profit and chooses to sell shoes in that town.

The two salesmen are similar to the two men mentioned in your ‘GoW’. And I agree that our happiness and success depends on the choices that we make and how we view things in life and in work.

In fact, in my few months working with this company, I learned from you to take problems not as burdens or obstacles but as challenges, instead. Personally, it lessened my stress levels without compromising my work efficiency.

    Sincerely,

  2. Dear Japa,

More than an inspiration, the Gems of Wisdom you share with us have become sustenance to my inner self.

I have replied because your Gems of Wisdom No. 14 has touched my life so much.

Thank you Sir, for reminding me…I am grateful…over again.

  3. Dear Suzette,

I appreciate your feedback. More than the inspiration, it also gives me great joy to be able to communicate directly to our people in QuestNet.

Hopefully, our daily Gems will inspire all of us to move and make the necessary changes in our lives to affect the people around us and the company we work in.

I understand that more than anything we all need care… we long for someone to love and we want to be loved.

We long for action… adventures… excitement… we long for recognition… we long to be valued and most of all we need to be nourished spiritually.

We can have all have these things if we only reach out and seek the truth.

Please take a minute everyday to ponder and reflect…How can I make a difference to the next person beside me?

How can I make someone’s life meaningful?

Reach out and care… this is all we need to be happy.

    Thank you very much!

    Sincerely,
